How do you start a new Habit? How do you improve on a current habit? How do maintain a new habit?

All great questions that I answered while talking to Rob O'Donohue and the Tuesday Night Book Club #TNBK

If you change your habits, you can change your life!

The science for a behavioral change according to James Clear in creating a good habit is

1 — Make it obvious of when you will do it — I will — (insert behavior) — at this time — in this place.

It has been proven that if you create an implantation intention you are more likely to succeed in creating a new habit.

2 — Make it attractive by creating a motivational ritual — do something you enjoy immediately after a difficult habit.

3 — Make it easy by breaking each habit down into a 2-minute habit. Want to read 30 books a year, then start reading 2 pages every evening before you go to bed.

4 — Find a way to make it satisfying to be creating a new habit.

The 1% of a new habit each day adds up. Where small changes appear to make no difference until the compound effect of the habit has an impact.
